Abacus Systems & Networks
The team at Abacus Systems & Networks requested that we develop a web site which they could use to provide customers with up to date information about the company, products and services. One of the key issues that face ICT companies is keeping customers appraised of new products or services and assisting them in finding patches and updates for their software products.
Abacus were very keen to provide as much information as possible to clients to enable them to stay abreast of developments in the areas that Abacus support.
Based on feedback from Abacus customers our website design brief was to deliver a web site that satisfied the following criteria
- Simple navigation
- Clear unambigous link for technical support
- Information about the products that Abacus support and sell
- Information about the services offered
- Facility to contact key personell regarding specific products or services
- A map, for suppliers and deliveries
- A home page that provides lots of shortcuts to key items of interest
Like other reputable ICT companies, Abacus provide remote assistance via a website link. After experimenting with different ways to provide a visual cue to customers, we settled on a bright, brash orange 'help' button - this has proven extremely successful in assisting customers who needed an easy way to access the remote support links.
The site makes judicous use of images to break up textual content and maintain a relatively clutter free aesthetic. Emphasis was given to partner logo's where appropariate. the site has been very well received by customers since it's launch in July 2009, with sales enquiries rising weekly and most customers using it on a fortnightly basis to access patches, updates and news.
