The Corporate Information Model
This model is used to publish information relating to a company or specialised subject matter. For example a company may wish to communicate the services, solutions and it’s business ethos in order to attract new customers or suppliers.
Alternatively a community group may decide to publish a range of information relating to a locale, it’s history, attractions and facilities.
The key point to note about an information & documentation site is that it provides limited interaction.
Users can browse through the material, search by key word, download documents and utilise whatever traffic building features have been provided such as digital postcards, banner advertisements etc. However, no actual selling takes place on an information orientated site, this type of site is best used to generate sales leads.
This type of model is particularly suitable for the following types of company
Legal Firms
Auctioneers
Government Agencies
Historical and Genealogical Organisations
Community Groups
Sports & Leisure Clubs
Service Providers
Education Providers
Tourism Industry
Knowledge Specialists
Agents and Professionals
