Crann website development by Fanore Software
Trees are vital for the environmental health of our countryside and Crann, a voluntary organisation, is a group set up to educate the public about Ireland's native woodlands. This website was launched in July 2009 to provide informaiton about the associations invaluable work, public events and to facilitate people who wish to become a member of Crann using PayPal to collect membership fees.
Our brief for this website development work was to create an easy to navigate, but aesthetically attractive web site that consumers could use to easily find the information they sought. To this end we segmented the organisation's information into three core threads, with each segment of the site colour coded to provide a visual cue as to where a visitor is in the content heirarchy.
Based on feedback from members we worked on the assumption that some visitors would be seeking specific details about the organisation and it's activities, whilst others would be looking for information about the high quality quarterly magazine published by Crann, yet others would be performing stufy / research orientated tasks and would be looking for forestry related facts and figures.
Feedback from visitors has been very exciting and member subscriptions have greatly increased due to the excellent editorial and marketing work being done by the team in Crann.
