Doolin Language Centre, design brief
Based in Doolin, Co. Clare with easy access to Doolin village and the Aran Islands, Doolin Language Centre is perhaps the most idyllic setting we’ve come across for learning English. With students who come from all over the world, The team at DLT (Doolin Language Training) were keen to provide an accurate image of just how beautiful the centre is and to give students an idea of the surroundings.
We started by creating a reasonably light framework so that the photographs would take centre stage. Using an animated header area we were able to give users a taste for the beauty of the environment with detracting from the important textual content regarding the range of courses provided.
The courses themselves where given emphasis to ensure that potential students could see the range and options available; of particular importance was a facility for visitors to download application forms and pricing details. A lot of time was spent creating a series of links to resources that we felt would be of particular interest to visitors who would need to know how to get around and what to expect when they arrive at the centre.
This website was published in October 2009 and has already received great feedback from visitors and affiliates of the centre and we wish them every success. Over the new few months we’ll be working with DLT to fine tune the search engine optimisation aspect of the site.
