They have built their reputation on the quality of service, expertise and pricing of their products. They supply some really unique products such as manholes that can be raised when a road is re-surfaced, bitumen products and a range of plastics suitable for the construction and engineering industries.
The general economic downturn had an impact on all companies in the contruction industry and related sectors, however the management at Fortune correctly anticipated this possibility back in early 2008 and contacted us with a web design brief as follows:
- The site must clearly illustrate the range of items in the Fortune product catalogue
- Due to the size of the catalogue, customers must be given clear visual cues as to what each major product grouping leads to
- A clear 'breadcrumb' must be visible when a customer is navigating the site to help them reach other catalogues
- Customers must be able to get access to as much product information as possible to assist them in making their choice

- All enquiries must be submitted to the Fortune sales team in a structured fashion to speed up routing and to ensure that the customer gets to speak with the right person
Since it's launch in 2008, the web site has generated hundreds of thousands of Euro in new sales orders from across Europe, a market that Fortune hadn't capitalised on and the site continues to support the sales activities of this rapidly expanding company.
