Web design brief for Vokes Gift Shop
The Vokes family have had a presence in the beautiful village of Adare, Co. Limerick for over two centuries. Henry & Hazel approached Fanore Software with a view to developing a web site for their customers.
After careful analysis of the business case for a web site, we came up with a design brief that matched the requirements and aspirations of both Henry & Hazel.
Our initial website design is designed to help Vokes build traffic to their web site, and with the vast amount of historical images and anecdotes, we feel there's a strong liklihood that the site will attract people interested in Adare and it's rich and varied past.
In addition to the general content, we also put in place digital postcards as a way to drive traffic to the web site. Henry and Hazel have a large collection of very old photographs, dating back to the 1890's and we felt these would be of interest to a wider audience.
We have also put in place a feature that allows customers and visitors to order gift vouchers online, at this time we've decided not to facilitate online payments in order to gauge the level of interest.
The site went live in November 2009 and we wish all the team at Vokes Gifts success as they develop their online business.
